Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte)
A warm, soothing turmeric drink. Turmeric's curcumin is the anti-inflammatory star — and a pinch of black pepper dramatically boosts how much your body absorbs it. Coconut milk and ginger round it out.

Ingredients
- 2 cupsmilk or coconut milk
- 1 tspturmeric
- 1/2 tspginger (grated)
- 1 pinchblack pepper
- 1/2 tspcinnamon
- 1 tsphoney (to taste)
Instructions
- 1
Gently warm the milk in a small pot (don't boil).
- 2
Whisk in the turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and cinnamon and simmer 3-4 minutes so the spices infuse.
04:00 - 3
Sweeten with honey to taste and strain if you like it smooth.
- 4
Pour into mugs and drink warm — lovely before bed.
Notes
The black pepper is not optional: piperine increases curcumin absorption many times over. A little fat (the coconut milk) helps too, since curcumin is fat-soluble. Soothing for achy joints and a cozy nightcap. Photo: Adobe Stock (#464946911), licensed.

Anti-Inflammatory Reset
A gentle, restorative day of cooking, heavy on turmeric, ginger, and garlic. The bone broth is the long, slow base — get it going first (it will simmer for hours and the kitchen will thank you). Use some of it to loosen the kitchari as it cooks soft. Wind down with a warm cup of golden milk.

A simple thali; a little of several things on one plate. Get the coconut rice going, then let the chana masala and the red lentil dal simmer side by side (they share a base of onion, ginger, garlic, and tomato, so prep that for both at once). Finish with warm golden milk. Rice in the middle, a spoonful of each around it. The mango chutney ferments 3-5 days on the counter before it's ready. Start it several days ahead.
